Park City Utah December January photos

December and January in Park City Utah is full-on ski season.   Every morning crowds of skiers and snowboarders gather in the plaza before being whisked up the mountain in the gondola.   December is still early in the season but there’s no worry about weather conditions.  Canyons has extensive snow-making and excellent snow groomers to ensure good skiing no matter the conditions.    The weather in December is very tolerable, on average 31F high and 9F Low.

January is generally the coldest month in Park City Utah 20F high and 3F Low.  Winter is no longer a newcomer, and by now plenty of snow has accumulated on the mountain. The cold temps help protect the fallen snow from the freeze/thaw cycle, ensuring good powder days after a storm.   The sunrise is late in the morning making it easier to bring home sunrise photos in the mountains.
