April is the official end of ski season in Park City. This is a transition month as all the snow begins to melt. I love the 1st half of April because of the warm ski weather and closing-day concerts and pond skimming competitions. Temperatures in April average 43F high and 21F low.
Gardening in Park City in April is only possible with a coldframe or greenhouse. 
Plants need protection or they get crushed by April snowstorms. Cold mountain winds also pose a danger to an unprotected garden, this time of year. Leafy green plants like spinach, lettuce, and Kale do well. Broccoli and other cole crops do better with the extra space that a greenhouse offers.
